Bay Tree Class: Sun and Sea

This week in Bay Tree we have had an amazing multi sensory experience in Geography. We turned our classroom into the UK's most famous and well loved seaside town, Blackpool!

We loved experiencing the beach with our very own taste safe beachy tuff tray. It was fully equipped with edible sand, handmade sea shells and spades ready for a good dig. 

We made a mock up of Blackpool train station using pictures of the local stations, toy train tracks and trains. We loved pretending to drive the train, picking up lots of passengers on the way. 

The best part of our immersive Blackpool experience was, of course, ice creams! We used cones, sprinkles and squirty cream to have a go at being ice cream makers just like the ones along Blackpool sea front. 

Our Attention Autism this week fit the Blackpool theme as well! For stage 2, Emily rolled train wheels in lots of different coloured paints to reveal a rainbow train track on the paper! Then for stage 3, it was our turn, and we got to have a go at cleaning the trains with syringes full of water and water sprayers!
