Welcome back Pine Tree Class, and Happy New Year!

This week in Pine Tree class we have been taking part in a variety of learning activities, focusing on this half terms ‘creative curriculum’ theme throughout school, ‘DIVERSITY’, and incorporating our Citizenship topic ‘Living In A Diverse World’.

We had a local children’s author, Joanne Moore, visit and talk to us about her collection of children's stories. These stories help to promote inclusivity, encourage acceptance, and raise awareness about all kinds of differences. We really enjoyed her sharing one of her stories ‘Bertie The Very Blind Bat’ with us.

We have completed a 'self portrait' jigsaw activity, an 'all about me' poster, collaged fish pictures, and played a range of sports including Boccia. We have also tasted foods from around the world (different cuisines), and finished the week with taking part in a talent show, to showcase our skills! A fantastic week of learning :-)
