This week during our afternoon RE lessons we have been focusing on the religion ‘Christianity’ and The Christmas Story. We enjoyed taking part in acting out key scenes from this, exploring different props associated with this story, discussing the feelings and emotions that the different people involved throughout may have experienced and developed our knowledge and understanding of the celebration of Christmas. In addition to this we have also incorporated learning lots of Makaton signs linked to our learning. On Thursday we enjoyed having our school Christmas lunch in class which included Christmas crackers, napkins and table clothes and finished the week with Christmas Jumper Day. Next week we look forward to carrying on our learning and incorporating various Christmas themed activities throughout the week, with the odd Christmas song here and there.
