Achieving The Best We Can
In Everything We Do

Oak Tree Class 17/05/21

What an exciting last week of term!

PE was as exciting as ever and we practiced for our virtual sports day again. This week we tried out our balancing skills, walking over a ladder!

In our computing session one young lady amazed us again using the Eye gaze. Whilst her friends used the Ipad to programme Dash the robot.

This week with Romano from Commando Joes we did relay races and obstacles courses. We had to work as a team to complete our mission. We then put our confidence to the test to see who was brave enough to go down the fireman’s pole!

In Independent living skills we were practicing how to use knives safely. We made some salt dough and practiced different cutting techniques. We were also working really hard on our sensory garden, we did lots of weeding, planted hanging baskets and gave the garden a good tidy!

Art was lots of fun, we finished our Banksy inspired work. Using our stencils we made last week we painted over the top to create lots of patterns with different colours.

We then did a dress rehearsal for our Peter Pan pantomime. We have worked so hard to remember our lines and stage queues. We have really enjoyed the different literacy lessons this term.

In our last numeracy lesson we got to use a shop till. We have all worked so hard in learning the different coin values this term.

Our bug hotels finally took shape this week, we used a drill and screws to secure it in place then found different things to put inside. We have piled up bamboo canes, pine cones, sticks and leaves. We can’t wait to see what creepy crawlies we find!

We hope you have an amazing restful half term! Cannot wait to see everyone in June for a busy last term.
