Achieving The Best We Can
In Everything We Do

Oak Tree Class 3/5/21

Hello, we hope everyone had a good bank holiday, its just a shame about the weather!

Luckily the sun shined for our Commando Joes session! This week our mission was to build the tallest castle out of a selection of different objects. The winners built an amazing castle that stayed standing, despite the wind.  We then played eye spy on the adventure playground which was improving our listening skills. We worked so hard in this session and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

In vocational education we started making our bug hotels. We cut the wood to size and planned what we wanted to put inside for the bugs. We had a go at independently cutting the wood.

Our science lesson was very exciting, we are learning about chemical reactions. This week we made bath bombs and then watched them fizzle and bubble. We used citric acid, bicarbonate of soda and cream of tartar.

In music this term we are learning about indigenous music. We listened to lots of different types of music, joined in with our own instruments then practiced our animal impressions of animals we would find in the rain forest.

We hope everybody has a lovely safe weekend and we will see you all on Monday.
