Solids, Liquids and Gases

This week, Maple Class have been getting busy with our learning in Science.  We are learning about solid, liquids and gases as well as changing things from one state to another.  We have enjoyed meeting out targets by looking at:

Ice cubes – melting them from a solid to a liquid

Chocolate – melting these using hairdryers, microwaves and holding it in our hands

Eggs – breaking the solid to find a liquid and then making it solid again by heating it

Jelly – changing from a solid to a liquid and then solid again

Chocolate Mousse – making the liquid milk into a solid mousse

The best part of all our learning has been eating the results of our learning!
